‘เปิดโลกวิชาการผ่าน ดาว พลาสติก’

กลุ่มบริษัท ดาว ประเทศไทย นำโดยคุณกาญจนา อุ่นอารมณ์ ผู้จัดการแผนกประกันและควบคุมคุณภาพ พร้อมด้วยพนักงานดาวอาสา จัดกิจกรรม ‘เปิดโลกวิชาการผ่าน ดาว พลาสติก’ ภายใต้โครงการ ‘ยั่งยืน ปลอดภัย ใส่ใจชุมชน’ ณ โรงงานของบริษัทฯ ในนิคมอุตสาหกรรมเอเซีย อำเภอบ้านฉาง จังหวัดระยอง ในการนี้ บริษัทฯ ได้จัดกิจกรรมสถานีวิชาการด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ ได้แก่ สถานีดาวเหลือเชื่อเพื่อชี้ให้เห็นถึงความเกี่ยวข้องระหว่างพลาสติกกับชีวิตประจำวัน และสาธิตการขึ้นรูปโฟมผ่านกระบวนการทางเคมี สถานีดาวแห่งพลาสติกเพื่อให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับการใช้งานพลาสติกประเภทต่าง ๆ และสถานีดาวรักษ์โลกเพื่อจำลองวิธีการบำบัดน้ำเสียด้วยจุลินทรีย์ แก่นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 และคณะครูโรงเรียนบ้านฉางกาญจนกุลวิทยา จำนวน 80 คน ทั้งนี้คณะครูและนักเรียนยังได้เข้าชมห้องปฏิบัติการมาตรฐานระดับสากล และเป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม เรียนรู้การใช้อุปกรณ์ความปลอดภัย รวมไปถึงการจัดเก็บสารเคมีอย่างปลอดภัยอีกด้วย

‘Open up Science World through Dow Plastic’

Dow Thailand led by Ms. Kanchana Un-Arom, Manage Quality Leader, together with Dow volunteers organized the ‘Open up Science World through Dow Plastic’ activity under the ‘Neighbor Care’ project at Dow’s plants in Asia Industrial Estate, Ban Chang District, Rayong province. 80 students of Grade 12 and teachers from Ban Chang Kanchanakun Witthaya School were entertained with lab activity stations which are ‘Amazing Dow’ to explain how plastics are applied in our routine life and demonstrate foam forming through chemical process, ‘Dow’s Plastic’ to show Dow’s various product applications, and ‘Green Dow’ to simulate waste water treatment by microbes. The group also visited Dow’s international-standard laboratory which is friendly to environment, learned the personal protective equipments required in lab operation, and safe storage of chemicals.
