นายทิโมธี อลัน พอตเตอร์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท สตาร์ ปิโตรเลียม รีไฟน์นิ่ง จำกัด (มหาชน) (SPRC) ส่งมอบโครงการปรับปรุงระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียและระบบระบายน้ำให้กับโรงเรียนมาบตาพุดพันพิทยาคาร จ.ระยอง โดยมี ดร.อำนาจ วิชยานุวัติ รองปลัดกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ เป็นประธานในพิธี อีกทั้งรองผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษา เขต 18, ศึกษาธิการจังหวัดระยอง, รองนายกเทศมนตรีเมืองมาบตาพุด, ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานการนิคมอุตสาหกรรมมาบตาพุด, ผู้นำชุมชน, ผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา, คณะครู นักเรียนโรงเรียนมาบตาพุดพันพิทยาคารและพนักงานจิตอาสา SPRC ร่วมในพิธี
SPRC ได้เล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการแก้ไขปัญหาน้ำเสียในโรงอาหาร จึงดำเนินโครงการนำร่อง “ระบบบำบัดน้ำเสียและระบบระบายน้ำโรงอาหาร” เพื่อสร้างสุขอนามัยที่ดีตามกฎของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ แก้ไขปัญหาด้านสภาวะแวดล้อมในโรงเรียนให้น่าอยู่น่าเรียน และยกระดับคุณภาพชิวิตของครู นักเรียน และบุคลากรกว่า 5,000 คน ให้ปลอดภัยและมีความสุขอย่างยั่งยืน ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นถึงวัฒนธรรมความห่วงใย ใส่ใจ และเอื้ออาทรที่ SPRC มีต่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยใช้งบประมาณทั้งสิ้น 10,000,000 บาท

Star Petroleum Refining PCL (SPRC), led by CEO Timothy Alan Potter, organized a handover ceremony of the wastewater treatment system and the drainage system to Map Ta Phut Phanphittayakarn School. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Amnat Wichyanuwati, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, and was attended by the Deputy Director of Educational Service Area 18, the Supervisor of Rayong Provincial Education Office, The Map Ta Phut Deputy Mayor, Director of Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate Office, community leaders, school directors, school staff, students as well as SPRC volunteers group.
SPRC recognized the issue which arose from the mismanagement of wastewater in the school. Thereby, it conceived the initiative: “the wastewater treatment system and the drainage system in school canteen,” which aims to promote good health in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s regulations, as well as improve the school environment and the quality of life of more than 5,000 people, including the teachers, the students, and the school staff. The initiative served as an illustration of SPRC’s culture, which seeks to commit and contribute good things to the society and the environment. The project amounted to 10,000,000 THB.
